The world of supports and assistance for people with disabilities is changing, with the use of technology offering a nearly limitless array of opportunities for people to maximize their abilities and live, work and play independently. However, there’s a lot of education that needs to be done to ensure people with disabilities, their families, the providers and the case managers they may work with, and even elected officials are empowered with the knowledge and the resources to help everyone access the tools that can best support their goals. This presentation will give the audience the introduction to technology tools and the resources available, as well as give them the tools to become advocates for themselves and promoters of these important solutions
